The decision to rent a campervan for a week was a good one! The "wicked" campervan was wicked to the point i had to recharge the battery every other day in order to keep it running. &ç&%°!? Every time i park it i have to be careful to be able to roll start it again. A few lookouts have to be skipped because the parking area turns out to be too flat... Halls Gap is packed with senior citizens who attend the yearly Jazz festival. 4 Years ago there's been major bushfires here, it's amazing how good everything recovered from it. There's some tree's that actually rely on bushfires to spread their seeds (they only crack open with the heat of a fire).
Just after the Grampians I'm getting to the Great Ocean Road, one of the most touristic spots in Australia. I have to admit it's really beautiful to see. A heavy thunderstorm just moves in after i finished taking my pictures of the 12 Apostels. Heavy rain for 18 hours, a good reason to check into a backpackers in Lorne. The next day in Melbourne i have to return the campervan already and soon fly back to Adelaide where I can stay with Sally and Family again. The backdoor is open for me so I can slip in at 7.30 in the morning and catch up with sleeping in "my room". That really feels like home! Thanks Sal, you're wonderful!
